Reiki Healing For Heart Disease

Updated: Apr 4, 2019

February is Heart Disease Awareness month. The good news is if you ARE dealing with heart disease then it is your month to get 25% off all treatments provided by In One's Element!

The term "heart disease" is often used interchangeably with the term "cardiovascular disease." Cardiovascular disease generally refers to conditions that involve narrowed or blocked blood vessels that can lead to a heart attack, chest pain (angina) or stroke. Other heart conditions, such as those that affect your heart's muscle, valves or rhythm, also are considered forms of heart disease. My father had heart issues. "Electrical problems", he would say, or "rhythm problems". The heart is the heart. When you are at risk or already have something going on with your heart, whatever it may be, there is a cause for action, to get any treatment that may bring healing or comfort your way.

Reiki healing, even according to a Yale study, can be a significant non-invasive form of therapy for those going through heart complications. Miracles have been reported to have happened through Reiki treatment with some test showing no heart damage after heart attacks when Reiki healing was given during and right after said heart attack.

Common benefits of Reiki healing for people with heart disease include:

  • Improved heart rate variability: Reiki may improve heart rate variability among patients who have had a heart attack.Studies have linked better heart rate variability to a better prognosis for heart patients, making this a highly desirable effect of Reiki healing.

  • Improved mood: Stress, depression and other negative mental states raise the risk of heart attack and other adverse events. Reiki healing may improve the mood of patients with cardiovascular risk or a history of cardiovascular problems, thus reducing the risk of adverse events.

  • Reduced anxiety: Anxiety causes increased blood pressure and heart rate, both of which can exacerbate heart problems. Reiki may reduce anxiety, thus protecting the heart from damage.

  • Improved sleep: Research has shown that people with poor sleep habits are at a higher risk of developing cardiovascular disease. Reiki healing may improve the quality of sleep, thus reducing the risk of heart disease. Improved sleep is also beneficial to patients who have already been diagnosed with a heart problem.

  • Reduction in pain sensations: People with heart disease, as well as those who have already experienced a stroke or heart attack, may feel pain because of their condition. Patients who undergo Reiki treatments often report a reduction in pain sensations. Thus, Reiki healing may be beneficial to heart patients for this reason.

Certain types of personality have a higher risk of heart disease. They used to say it was your type A's that were the highest risk. Recently studies show that type D may be the winner for heart troubles. The type D — or "distressed" — personality type has two central characteristics: a high level of emotional distress (researchers call it negative affectivity) and a reluctance or inability to confide in others (social inhibition). Such people have a generally downbeat attitude and a tendency to worry a lot while keeping their emotional distance from others. When you add in the regular life stress as well, job, family, etc. this type of person is treading water in a sea of cortisol which is a big no-no for the cardiovascular system.

We all probably know that stress is bad for the heart. We see doctors talking on T.V. all the time how if we want a healthy heart we need to exercise, quit smoking, and follow a heart-healthy diet, but very few will address another essential component for heart health which is the healing of an emotional heart. the accumulation of guilt, shame, resentment, hatred, anger, hostility, anxiety and such can result in a constriction of energy flow and resulting in heartache—both emotionally as well as in the form of heart disease. Reiki healing can help in all of these aspects.

*Releasing the heart and allowing it to let go.

*Releasing mental mumbo jumbo that constricts hearts, and creates heart pain.

*Creating a meditative state where one can step outside themselves and look in at as a third person, giving an opportunity to notice behavioral and emotional patterns that are disruptive to heart health.

In short, if you fall under the category of at-risk or dealing with heart issues, give us a call today and get on the schedule for treatment. If you have not tried Reiki healing before, this is your time. For heart's sake, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
