Here at In One's Element, it is extremely important to us that your stay, at any of our retreats, is an experience you will cherish, look back on and want to repeat. Our team is carefully chosen and combines professionalism, courteousness, and genuity.

Jennifer Spiroff  is the owner and founder of In One's Element with over 3000 hours in education for massage, nutrition, and yoga. She started off her practice with in-home massage services over 18 years ago. For many years she went to the homes or workplaces of her clients to give therapeutic massage geared at addressing her client’s musculoskeletal needs. She has also worked alongside chiropractors creating protocols that relieved pain and freed up movement within the body.

Feeling like she could do more for others in their search of a healthier path, Jennifer obtained her Bachelors in Holistic Nutrition. This allowed her to guide others in food choices for better health and longevity. After experiencing the therapeutic wonders of yoga on and off the mat, she knew the next step in serving others was to become a certified yoga teacher.

It didn't take her long to realize that the only thing left to do was to bring it all together, creating retreats   where others can "get away from it all" or find their Element. What better than to bring massage, yoga, and healthy nutrition into one place - choosing ideal locations such as this one The Wallace Lodge in Goldbar, WA. and the spectacular Cascade Mountains!

Jennifer is delighted to guide you through meditation and yoga during your In One's Element retreat.

{thyme to Nourish Rachel Duboff is your spectacular chef during your retreat week preparing fresh organic meals that can revolve around the needs of special diets. She is the founder and lead chef for {thyme to Nourish. In her formative years, Rachel had the good fortune to be raised in Seattle by a stay-at-home mom who loved to cook and try out new recipes. Rachel spent many hours watching her mom in the kitchen and eventually tried her hand at cooking on her own. A move to Malaysia in her early twenties exposed Rachel to the world of SE Asian and Indian cooking where she learned to cook with co-workers and their families. On her return to North America, Rachel headed to Vancouver, BC where she worked in the former Cookshop Cooking School and began experimenting on her own with private catering. In 1999 Rachel returned to Seattle and in 2001/2002 attended the Culinary Arts program at the Art Institute of Seattle.

Rachel is an accomplished chef with experience as a food educator, personal chef, and caterer—having done everything from small dinner parties to weddings for 175. She has been an active volunteer chef instructor since 2003 with Cooking Matters (formerly Operation Frontline), teaching food and nutrition skills to at-risk communities throughout Seattle; Rachel was inducted into the Share our Strength Hall of Fame in 2011 for her contributions to Cooking Matters. She also serves on the steering committee for Community Kitchens Northwest and led the monthly Wallingford Kitchen from October 2009 through April 2012.

Rachel’s focus on special needs diets started with guiding friends and family through their struggles with new-found vegetarianism/veganism, high cholesterol, diabetes, gluten intolerance/food based allergies, cancer treatment. Realizing that they often lacked the culinary skills to be able to master these challenges on their own, she became an invaluable adviser, providing recipes, guidance, and cooking on their behalf. In 2010, Rachel continued her commitment to food and wellness by completing a certification in Nutritional Therapy offered through the Nutritional Therapy Association.

Rachel started {thyme to Nourish} because she believes that whole foods and healthy eating are the sources of good health and happiness. She is dedicated to helping her clients embrace food no matter what challenges or goals they may have. Rachel is the current President of the Puget Sound Personal Chefs Association, and is a member of the Personal Chefs Cooperative and Slow Food International; she can often be found at the Ballard Farmer’s Market on Sunday afternoons and teaching classes to empower others to bring health and joy into their lives through food. Rachel and {thyme to Nourish} focuses on providing good food to good people.

Erica Black is a Certified Pain Management Coach and Certified Biofeedback Specialist with over a decade of experience in the wellness field, and a lifetime of experience as a competitive athlete. She is passionate about helping people be their best selves possible on and off the field and believes that sometimes just a few small changes can help get anyone from where they are, to where they want to be. Erica's goal whether you’re an athlete, a weekend warrior, or just a regular person trying to tackle the day while firing on all cylinders, is to help you FEEL your best, BE your best, and EMPOWER you to take charge of your life.

For your Gold Bar retreat, Erica is here to supply you with one of her specialities of biofeedback. Biofeedback is designed to correct the manifestation of stress and/or electro-stress patterns within the individual at the most primal of physiological levels. The theory is that stress disrupts the inherent electromagnetic frequencies at which the body’s cells, organs, etc. resonate and that by returning these frequencies to their natural state, the stress and any subsequent illness that occurred because of the disruption can be corrected. Studies have shown that people who are over-stressed, produce different patterns of brain waves than do people who are not over-stressed, and that reversal of that stress can result in the abnormal patterns becoming normal. Techniques such as biofeedback training empower the individual in controlling their return to a stress-free living. With biofeedback Erica is able to tune into an individual’s body’s physiological stress levels and consequently affect a decrease in stress levels, resulting in improved physical and emotional being.

Solveig Waterfall was born and raised in the Alpental Valley of Washington State clicking into her first pair of ski boots at less than a year old. Mountaineering was a natural progression as she searched for steeper, more interesting terrain. Solveig started mountain guiding while getting her BA from Western State Colorado University and has since worked in the Sierras, the Cascades, the Alaska Range, and internationally on the Mexican Volcanoes and Argentina's Aconcagua. Personal climbing and skiing aspirations have taken her to Sikkim in the Himalaya, and the Waddington Range in BC.

Sloveig was first drawn to yoga as a method for healing and preventing injuries. After over a decade of maintaining a regular yoga practice, she began teaching in hopes of incorporating and sharing the benefits of the practice with her clients and her community. She started teaching yoga in hopes of incorporating and sharing with her clients and her community.
