About the Event
This is the fourth of an eight-session healing series based on the seven chakras where we work to create healing, balance, and connection with ourselves, Earth, and the universe. You are not required to take each class in the series, however it is recommended to work on each of the chakras in succession as we create balance throughout the whole system.
During this session we will be focusing on the heart chakra. The sessions in this series combine the power of guided imagery and visualization with reiki healing to explore, restore, and release energy in the whole body, with a focus on the aforementioned chakra. The Sanskrit name for the heart chakra is “Anahata”, which means “unhurt, unstruck and unbeaten" and is associated with balance, calmness, serenity, love, and compassion. The fourth chakra connects the lower and upper chakras. It acts as a center of integration of earthly matters and higher aspirations. Far from seeing these energies as separate, the experience of the heart integrates them effortlessly and harmoniously. Love experienced through the heart chakra is not just about romance, but about going beyond the limitations of the ego and personal preoccupations to open up more fully to compassion and acceptance of all that is, as it is. When we live from the heart and our heart energy is open and balanced we can see clearly and position ourselves in any situation, no matter how challenging it is, with discernment and compassion.
The duration of the class is one hour, with 15 minutes before and after to get settled in and have discussion.
The little important things:
This event is for ages 12 and older. Pre-registration is required, and refunds will not be given within 48 hours of the event so please keep this in mind if you need to cancel. There is limited space to participate so register as soon as you can. The address of the location will be sent in an email once registration is complete. We will provide cushioned mats and a sheet for the mat for all participants, however we do ask that you bring your own blankets and pillows for comfort as this class is spent lying down.
